Daiv asur sampatti dvi bhag Yog

In the sixteenth chapter of Geeta, two rival and competitive forces have been mentioned. They are classified as divine and evil or demoniac ones. Lord Krishna explicitly defines what conduct or actions symbolize divinity and which one displays unrighteousness. With this clear cut demarcation, it becomes the responsibility of an individual how to perform his or her actions.

અધ્યાય સોળમો : દૈવાસુરસંપદ્વિભાગ યોગ

ગીતાના આ અધ્યાયમાં દૈવી અને આસુરી સંપત્તિઓનું વિસ્તારથી વર્ણન કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. હિંસા ન કરવી, સત્ય બોલવું, ગરીબો પર દયા દાખવવી, સદા ધીરજ રાખવી, ક્ષમા આપવી, અહંકાર ન કરવો વિગેરેને ભગવાન દૈવી સંપતિના લક્ષણો તરીકે બતાવે છે. જ્યારે એથી ઉલટું, આ જગત ભોગ માટે જ છે એમ વિચારી ન કરવાના કામ કરવા, ખોટી વાતોને પકડી રાખવી, અસત્ય ભાષણ કરવું, અસંતોષ રાખવો, મમતા, મોટાઇ અને મોહમાં વિચરવું, દંભ અને પાખંડથી વિધિનું અનુષ્ઠાન ન કરવું, ઇશ્વરની સદા નિંદા કરવી - આ સર્વ આસુંરી સંપત્તિના લક્ષણો બતાવ્યા. ભગવાન કહે છે કે આસુરી સંપત્તિવાળા લોકા સદા અધમ ગતિને પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે.

કામ, ક્રોધ અને લોભ - એ ત્રણ નરકના દ્વાર છે. એથી એ ત્રણથી સદા સાવધ રહેવું.  આ અધ્યાયમાં ભગવાન સારા અને નરસા વચ્ચેની સ્પષ્ટ ભેદરેખા દોરી બતાવે છે.
